Cookie me up scottie
Ok, what do you like to eat for breakfast? And also, what are you willing to eat for breakfast? Because I am one of those people who never grew out of the leftover-pizza-for-breakfast kind of thing. The whole thing of steak and eggs at Waffle House? I am down baby. Hell yea. Oh, you do not know what Waffle House is? Basically it is just like one of those diner-y places that is next to highways, except it is a chain, and kind of southern. It is Mason-Dixie but not quite Cracker Barrel (and I almost wrote Crate and Barrel there, had to catch myself... furniture versus greasy food...) Anyway, the whole point of this post is that I sometimes eat cookies for breakfast. My sister just came back from an 18 day vacation in Peru. 18 days!!! Fo rizzle my shizzles. That is a long vacation and she brought back a box of cookies that is for "sharing" but yea, I can haz all da cookiez.
So basically in this box of magic, there are a couple of packages of cookies, shortbread style. Then there is a huge package of dulce de leche aka crack. If you do not know what this taste like, go look in the freezer section next time your grocery store has an ice cream sale and look for that flavor. It really takes your breath away and is out-of-this-world good. It is like riding a roller coaster at Six Flags, and going zero to 130 in four seconds. That good. I think, because while I have not been on a roller coaster in fifteen years, the idea highly appeals to me the way cookies for breakfast appeals to me.
And the best part is that you get to squeeze out as much dulce de leche on those cookies as you want. And if you are me, you make sure the ratio skews heavily on the sweet crack side. Mmmmm, sweet crack. Love it. Feed it to yo babies. For the sake of the picture at the top of this page, I squeezed only moderate amounts on the cookies but as you can imagine, one can go crazy.
I remember when I was younger, whenever my sister or I got sick, mom would make congee for breakfast. And now that I am an "adult," I eat cookies for breakfast. Yup. Hi mom! Bye everyone! Oh and the haiku comes tonight, no worries.

Those alfajores are so cool! They must be so much easier to transport this way!

I like to have toast for breakfast. I love toast. For someone who likes food and cooking as much as I do, it's a bit sad how much I love toast.
But today I had cake for breakfast! It had fruit in it though, so I felt like it was a balanced meal.

So technically, I could cut open the packet, as the little scissor cut marking, tip my head back, and empty the entire packet into my mouth. That would be a delicious and nutritious.

Amanda,
Pepsi! I forgot about pop for breakfast too. I had to quit that though, cold pizza is enough. There is some oatmeal on my shelf that I been meaning to eat for breakfast. haha. It just sits there.
Su-Lin,
Yes! easy transfer! You know, I wonder why Nabisco has not figured this out and tried to give us Oreos with dulce de leche. That would rock so hard!
Agnes,
Toast with good bread is so good! What do you put on it? Jam or butter? And oh yea, fruit sorbet is also a good balanced breakfast. ;)
Blondie,
Yes. I think that is the way to go, in fact I might do that tomorrow morning... all that calcium, delicious!

I put some of the dulce de leche stuff on toast yesterday. And on Saturday I ate leftover banana pudding from SSS.
