Food in Mouth

A day late

After two months of being a parent, I can say that it doesn't get any easier! The food blogging pretty much has stopped but it's nice to take...

L'Arte del Gelato Review: Terzo Piano

"I think the blogosphere is the future." That's from Anthony Bourdain. For a minute there I was having a crisis about what all this is about. You know, being a blogger and stuff. Steph and I were in Chicago for a couple of days and it was really great. If there's anything I've learned since the super duper France trip, and this recent Chicago trip...

New York Wine and Food Festival

This past Saturday I was lucky enough to attend a Grand Tasting Event at the New York Wine & Food Festival. If you haven't heard much about this festival in previous years, it's because this was the first year of the festival in New York. Previously it was in Miami. All the net proceeds go towards helping Food Bank NYC and the Share Our Strength foundation. It's good fun for a good cause. Usually that leaves me with nothing, since I can't think fast enough and am too indecisive. Last month we were in the mood of something summery, and lobster rolls sounded like a good idea. I'm glad...

Hon Cafe Review: Green cake from Hon Cafe

Most of my friends and family know me as the cheapest person alive. It's actually a title I hold dear. Being cheap, you hardly ever find me in a Starbucks drinking overpriced lattes. I do however, love Chinese bakeries. You could say that Chinese bakeries are my Starbucks. Except at one third of the cost. Oh and I don't spend money on drinks, I spend money on the baked goods, of course. Hon Cafe is one of the newer additions to the Chinese bakery landscape in Chinatown. They have a little cafe in the back where they serve hot food and a bakery in the front where...
